first, i want to mention the foil… i think the silver foil stamp for the logo looks awesome. great work combining all the different elements… the whole silk laminate coating thing is definitely new to me. what type of stock do ya’ll use for the cards. do you have different options? gracias! ;)

i normally print spot uv through a different company.. it doesn’t look the same tho. why is that? im reading here about the silk.. does that make a difference? the business cards on your portfolio are full color like the ones i’ve always got but they seem more colorful with the spot uv. let me know whenev. thanks

Hello Harris,
Thanks, we appreciate all the feedback we have been receiving. Silk laminate coating is a cold laminate that seals the cardstock. Taste of Ink Studios print facility has 10pt and 16pt cardstock in stock and the silk coating provides an extremely silky smooth matte finish to the cardstock. The silk coating is tear, water resistant, and can be easily written on with a pen. Now, the amazing thing about silk printing is the way it compliments spot gloss (uv) and decorative foil. Like I said, the silk matte finish is not like uncoated cardstock. It offers an extremely elegant feel and look. Hope that explains everything for you! Hello Diana,
I was just explaining to Harris this exact same thing. Basically, the silky smooth laminate that coats the cardstock compliments the spot gloss highlights (uv). Unlike uncoated cardstock which is considered matte by most but it doesn’t have the same consistency as silk laminate. Silk coating is very silky and smooth to the touch. my first response to this design is that its simply classy. it’s extremely elegant, has flare, yet not over the top flashy. very classy business card design… for this type of printing, this specific card is def one of my favorites online right now.

i need something new n classy like this for my biz cards…. like ive used vista print or whatever before because they are cheap basically but the card stock came out all flimsy and i’m just bored with my plane old business cards. if i order business cards online and also order like spot gloss or whatever, like will you guys help me out with what will look good? i have no clue how to set something up like that
